I think it is better to identify the weaknesses and box them up so they do not define you. Focus on your strengths, develop them, hone them and become expert in them. That is where you will find your place, peace and identity. Let your strengths define you and tell people just who you are.
West is a very thorough historian and descriptive writer. Being the civilian I am, I tend to use a map and keep a short, ongoing set of notes to manage the military vernacular, but it's very worth it if you want to understand what really happened at the beginning of the Iraqi war and what transpired there and here politically since which brings us to this point.
